Who is Bad Believer?

We are a diverse group of LGBTQIA+ people from all over the world healing from religious trauma. We are from varying religious backgrounds. Some of us still practice a faith, some do not.
We are united in our path to spiritual autonomy and support all faiths and non-faith journeys.

We provide a safe environment for members of the queer community to heal from religious trauma. Want to join our community? There are a number of ways to get involved.

Introductory Calls to Share Our Stories
People coming into the community are encouraged to have a small group call with our founder, Adaline, or a member of our Peer Support Team, so we can get to know you.

Regular Community Events

We host a wide variety of events each month. These range from educational seminars and workshops, to fun socials like scavenger hunts, karaoke and dance parties.

Our Social Hub on Discord

We are active daily in our Discord Server, in multiple chat rooms where we have conversations about our journeys, share our favorite books, and talk sports, music, and art.

Referrals/Financial Support for Therapy

We have a team of licensed mental health professionals ready to help you find the right therapist in your area. If needed, we will provide support for sessions.

Peer Support

If you're going through a difficult time and want to talk, you are not alone. Led by our director of mental health, we offer one-on-one peer support.

  • When singer/songwriter Adaline released her coming-out ballad "Ghost", she also shared her experience as a queer Christian minister's daughter and the often isolating and emotionally taxing journey of reconciling faith and sexuality.  Shortly after, the song was licensed to the popular TV show "Wynonna Earp" for a groundbreaking queer love scene. The fans of the show began seeking out the song and in doing so, began to read about her journey and connect to it in a profound way.  She received an overwhelming amount of messages from people also trying to heal from religious trauma, so she started organizing calls for people to meet, share their stories, and begin a journey of spiritual healing.  The first call was hosted in the fall of 2020 and within months, she had met with hundreds of people from all over the world.  They were connecting with each other in life changing ways and committing to reclaiming their spiritual lives, together.  A community was born.
